Hey! Hey! Hey!....What an awesome awesome nite I had....We WON!!!!!!!!!!!!!! was the best thing ever...So far our team is 10 and 0..not one lost yet....It has been like over 10 years since our little school has done this...
You know what is funny...My eldest graduated from there a year ago and the middle son is not there yet..not until next year...so I don't even have a child there...LOL..But it is my school..I graduated from there and I know all my sons in the end will have finished up there...I do know other kids there though...and I know that those kids..our kids in this little public school really and truly needed this moral boost...
The school they beat last nite was also an undefeated team.. a team that has always beat them year after year and I don't mean by a few points they have slaughtered them year after year as so did other schools...But this team has always been like one of the best teams all round...always the best...and for our school to win this game and not by a fluke of a point but by 9 points...Doesn't sound like much?...well let me tell you it was fantastic!!!!!! it was the greatest game...Both teams gave their all...their best...both teams played beautifully....
It was not that I wanted the other kids on the other team to be hurt and that I wanted to brag..but yeah of course I will a little LOL..but it was an honor to be able to win over them....
Let me tell you...there was so much pride behind these guys...both teams had their bleachers full..many people were standing....we were lucky...since my son was in the band when he was there and we always helped out with the driving of the band trailer...we followed them there and got to sit with them...and I mean right in one little space..but at least I got to sit...well when I did sit...LOL...I thank God the wind was not blowing..because it was cold...we had our coats and blankets there to help keep warm...
Well to tell about the game itself...the other team made the first touchdown..but we didn't let that go on for long..we in turn made our touchdown...this kept on we were neck in neck with each other....it seem that the other team was going to beat us by 4 points....we finally had that ball and was trying so hard to get that touch down in the fourth quarter and with like 3 mins on the clock....It seemed as though there was always something stopping the game...a flag here and a flag there...people were yelling and cheering...I finally just standing there holding my hands together kept praying "please God..Please God..let those kids get this touchdown...Please, they need it...and I want it so bad...not sure why exactly...then in someway I did know..for my sons...for my nephew who went there only for a few years while living with me and he played for them and now he died at 20 years old...I wanted it for all of them....." Yeah, I know that is not something you really should take God's time up for...but you know what...God knows me..and I do believe he understands me well enough to know where I am coming from...
Well, He gave it to them...they got it...they got that touchdown...Yeah....I just kept thanking God...I did it with my voice and I did it in signlanguage...we now were ahead by 3points with 55seconds on the clock....I figured we had it in the bag...another person said that anything could happen within those seconds...that we had lost a game with only 6 seconds before...so I just kept praying please don't let it happen that way...let these guys keep their win....
We were all on the edge of our sits or shall I say standing on edge..LOL....Both those teams were awesome...fighting with everything they had...the other team had that ball...and were getting close to their side of the field...with like 30 to 40 seconds left on that clock...the other team threw that ball for a run...well as they threw that ball one of our home team players intercepted that ball...yeah that is right he caught that ball before the other team could get it...and that is not all he did...He ran with it as fast as he could and guess what.......He made another TOUCHDOWN!!!!!! Yeah!!!! You should have seen me and all our supporters...I was so excited...I was jumping up and down screaming....I was in totally awe...grabbing my middle son and hugging and yelling..I was thanking God again...I couldn't believe it...I really wanted them to win....and they did!!!!!
Those guys were so excited....they had done it...they broke the loosing streak that the school has had for over 10 or more years...they did it and let me tell you each supporter there was cheering them on and congratulating them....
Oh by the way my eldest son who is in college..he was there to see it...he came in for this game and he too was so excited...I was so proud of for all of them.....
I called so many people to let them know about it and I know they all thought I was crazy...but I was just so excited....I was on such a high....Not a drug high..LOL...But a Life High...which is the best kind....well...it wore me out...I think this is just what I needed..for when I got home..I sat around about a half hour and then I sneaked off to my bed and before you knew it I was out and I slept so good...couldn't believe it....been a while since I did that...God surely gave me peace last nite....
