 Where Oh Where Has My Heat Gone.......LOL....

Yes...it is Saturday....I see the sun shining...and not as cold as it was yesterday...Praise the Lord.....For our heater seems to have stopped working...YIKES....

Yea...Last nite as we watched our movies..I felt the coldness hitting my old bones..lol..so I turned up the heat...I noticed I wasn't feeling any warmer..and then noticed it never turned on..I kept hearing a noise..my son said it was the guineas..but...I knew better..it was the heater trying to kick on but never would...the elements are working but will not kick the fan with it on...

Funny..huh...always happens on a weekend and at nite..guess that means I have to dust off the old electric heaters...In our older trailer we always had to use the space heaters..but now with the new one..we had central and I surely have gotten spoiled to it...you better believe come Monday...bright and early I will have the repair man here...lol..

My boys...seem to be feeling a little better now..Thank God for that one..I hate seeing my kids sick...so far it has not hit my hubby or I...pray pray pray it doesn't....

I have to say...I watched a movie last nite..."Flica"..with Tim McGraw....OMG...it was so good..I do recommend it...I also watched "The Grudge II"...it was good..but I hate the way it ends..

I so messed up on my diet last week..but..I got back on the wagon again..and going well again...I will never give up..

Puppy update....I tried the trick "PWH" for the biting..but it just doesn't work...but..he is scared of the newspaper..I don't even really have to spank him with it..just seeing it makes him listen..I think time is helping..its just having the patience to deal with him..but he is getting a little better...I did however buy a bigger Pet Taxi and it helps tremdously..he doesn't mind it as much..still prefers to be out..but..much better for the time away and at dinner time....I really do like him...and darn it..he seems to like me too..lol...suppose to be my son's dog..lol....but I can't help it..those eyes..lol...

So that is how my Weekend is starting..not too bad..it could always be worst...I did wake up...I can see and hear all things in this world...and I have my family here with me..the best gift of all...

Oh yeah..one more bonus...go here to this site..it is so funny..and believe me it is so true..LOL....

 Day by Day

I thought this was really cute...

What a week...Wensday..I walked up the path to pick up my youngest son...and poor baby..there he was from his neck to his shoes covered in his lunch..and I don't mean that he spilled it on himself..it decided to come back up...yes..he got that virus..and let me tell you..it starting coming out both ends...all nite...Then to top it off..the 14 year old started last nite with his....all nite...so right now..I have my house so quiet..they are both sleeping so soundly....I have meds for the youngest and am waiting for the pharmacy to get the call for the 14 yr meds...

I just pray that I don't get that darn virus...

And..the weather..my goodness..it is so messy...the sun stop shinning..all that rain and cold is back...I don't mind the cold..and I really don't mind the rain..but it is so messy outside...so much mud..so we do need a break..more than a day..at least a week to dry up things...oh well..I guess I should be thankful for the things we do have huh...I am...

Oh yeah..an update on me and hubby...no still no date out..but..oh..the other day..I had a slight headache..so I went lay down with him..and it was so nice we just spent the whole day together in bed..now now..stop them dirty minds..lol...A lady never tells...lol lol...

Well...I hope you all have a wonderful weekend...and be safe and blessed in what ever you do...

 Rainy days.....

Where do I start....ummm..

I know..lets start with Friday....I did go to the school here in our town and interpret for the young deaf child...and it really went well...I was right about them taking test..so it made the day sail by...It sure felt funny doing that again..but yet very good..No..angry moments..no ugly attitudes from customers or Bosses...lol..and it really hit me...that when I left..I got to be home at night..and yippeee I didn't have to work on the weekend..I know..I have been on leave now for a month from wal mart..but..this past weekend really hit me..that I am so at peace..being away from that place...

The whole day was just perfect..the sun was shining so brightly...and I actually worked at something I felt I was good at...and not just some door mat for people to step on...

But the sunshine soon ran away again and the oh so familiar rain was back on Saturday..BoooWhooo...LOL...But that was ok..I made good use of it..I got out my old photo albums and started scanning each picture to my computer..so I can put them all on disc...Every time Hurricane season comes around..we have to run away from home because we live in a mobile home..so I always grab hold of my photo albums which add up to a lot..so I figured if they were all on disc...it would be so much easier to bring..Don't get me wrong..I don't want to loose the orginals..but..it is a good way to keep them..I do so love my pics...I know I can't take them with me when I die..but while I live..I want to keep my pics safe...

Pictures are so filled with memories...it is so funny...no matter how long ago they were taken...you still remember all details surrounding that moment...whether it be a memory of fun...or a memory of anger hidden behind a smile..or just a joyful time...I really enjoyed my walk down memory lane....The only problem I had with it was..OMG...I was so Young!!!!....LOL...and so Skinny.....LOL....which I might add I am doing terrible at my diet at this moment..sorry Junebug...But..I am not giving up..I got straight up this morning and started it again...

Oh yeah...I have to tell...that evening when my hubby came home from town..he brought me pink roses...no special occasion..just because he loves me..I would assume..lol...they were beautiful...and they smelled so good...I love flowers..not the fake kind..the real ones...With everything going on...my aunt passing and all the rain we have been having..it has kept me from my little date plan with hubby...but..it is not forgotten..I have it planned..just waiting for the right day...but I will say there have been more snuggles and hugs lately from both of us..I did tell him about the date thing and he really likes the idea...

And just an update on my big puppy..he is doing fine..no damage from the near suffocation from the potato chip bag..but...omg..he is still driving me nuts..lol..I can't seem to break that biting he does..we can't just pet or love up on him without him biting us..I know he is a puppy but jeepers....Oh yeah...that dog really is smart...when we leave home we put him in the laundry room...well I will have you know he has figured out how to open the door..and he did it one day and nearly destroyed my kitchen and living room...I liked to have died when I open the door and saw that mess..I surely whipped his butt with a newspaper...he knew he did wrong and ran straight back to the laundry room...I now put him in the pet taxi we have..he hates it but oh well..he did the deed...I have to go and buy a bigger one..for he is really getting big...

Well that would bring us to today...a gorgeous Monday..the sun is shining again..The kids are all in school at the moment...Just doing the everyday chores and feeling a little blaaaaa...nothing bad..just on the lazy side...lol..lol..

So..there you have it...the passed days of SammyJo...Nothing extraordinary..nothing special..just another soul trying to make it in this big old world....

 The Price of Children

I came across this..and I'm not sure if I posted one like this before..but..what the matter..it is beautiful..and deservers to be posted again....

This is just too good not to pass on to all. Something absolutely
positive for a change. I have repeatedly seen the breakdown of the cost
of raising a child, but this is the first time I have seen the rewards
listed this way. It's nice.

The government recently calculated the cost of raising a child from
birth to 18 and came up with $160,140 for a middle income family. Talk
about sticker shock! That doesn't even touch college tuition.

But $160,140 isn't so bad if you break it down. It translates into:

* $8,896.66 a year,
* $741.38 a month, or
* $171.08 a week.
* That's a mere $24.24 a day!
* Just over a dollar an hour.

Still, you might think the best financial advice is don't have children
if you want to be "rich." Actually, it is just the opposite. What do you
get for your $160,140?
* Naming rights. First, middle, and last!
* Glimpses of God every day.
* Giggles under the covers every night.
* More love than your heart can hold.
* Butterfly kisses and Velcro hugs.
* Endless wonder over rocks, ants, clouds, and warm cookies.
* A hand to hold, usually covered with jelly or chocolate.
* A partner for blowing bubbles, flying kites.
* Someone to laugh yourself silly with, no matter what the boss said or
how your stocks performed that day.

For $160,140, you never have to grow up. You get to:
* finger-paint,
* carve pumpkins,
* play hide-and-seek,
* catch lightning bugs, and
* never stop believing in Santa Claus.

You have an excuse to:
* keep reading the Adventures of Piglet and Pooh,
* watching Saturday morning cartoons,
* going to Disney movies, and
* wishing on stars.
* You get to frame rainbows, hearts, and flowers under refrigerator
magnets and collect spray painted noodle wreaths for Christmas, hand
prints set in clay or Mother's Day, and cards with backward letters for
Father's Day.

For $160,140, there is no greater bang for your buck. You get to be a
hero just for:
* retrieving a Frisbee off the garage roof,
* taking the training wheels off a bike,
* removing a splinter,
* filling a wading pool,
* coaxing a wad of gum out of bangs, and coaching a baseball team that
never wins but always gets treated to ice cream regardless.

You get a front row seat to history to witness the:
* first step,
* first word,
* first bra,
* first date, and
* first time behind the wheel.

You get to be immortal. You get another branch added to your family
tree, and if you're lucky, a long list of limbs in your obituary called
grandchildren and great grandchildren. You get an education in
psychology, nursing, criminal justice, communications, and human
sexuality that no college can match.

In the eyes of a child, you rank right up there under God. You have all
the power to heal a boo-boo, scare away the monsters under the bed,
patch a broken heart, police a slumber party, ground them forever, and
love them without limits, So . . one day they will, like you, love
without counting the cost. That is quite a deal for the price!!!!!!!

Love and enjoy your children and grandchildren!

To everyone who has children, hope you find this special, to everyone
who does not have children I still hope you enjoy!!!
